After decades of dedication, hard work, and countless achievements, Ian Harkness, our Area Sales Manager for the Northeast, is retiring this Christmas from Broughton Plant Hire & Sales. Ian has been instrumental working alongside the team in establishing and growing our Gateshead branch into the thriving, sustainable, and profitable business unit it is today.

Ian joined us after an already illustrious 35-year career in sales and branch management, taking a brief retirement before answering the call to help build something new. In January 2022 we opened the door to our new Northeast branch based in Gateshead

🚛 Today, this depot proudly operates across the North of England and Scotland with our talented and experienced staff members who have built a reputation for exceptional services and product offerings.

As Ian passes the baton, we’re thrilled to introduce Stephen Clark, our new Area Sales Manager, who has been mentored by Ian himself. Stephen is ready to take over Ian’s customer portfolio and lead us into an exciting future filled with growth and innovation.
