Broughton Plant Hire & Sales will endeavor to provide as much information within our website of our product pages to allow you to make an informed decision on your purchase. However, should you require to return any product, we will allow you to do so within 14 days of the day of taking delivery.

You will need to arrange the return of the goods yourself with a full tracking facility from a reputable courier/carrier

Please ensure goods are returned to us in their unopened original packaging and in a resalable condition.

Broughton Plant Hire & Sales will refund the total cost of the goods, but we are entitled to make a deduction from the purchase price where products are not returned in the condition in which they were received by the customer. A full refund will not be given unless the goods are faulty or incorrectly described, and any damage to any packaging, meaning that Broughton Plant Hire and Sales will be unable to sell at full price, will also incur a proportionate deduction from the refund price.

If there is any issue relating to the products being damaged in transit, Broughton Plant Hire and Sales may request reasonable proof from you and/or the courier.

Faulty, Incorrect or Damaged Items - 14 Days to Return

If we have supplied an item incorrectly, or if it is damaged or faulty when received you should notify us immediately or within 24 hours of receipt on 01708 383350 or email [email protected] quoting your order number and item to be returned.

Broughton Plant Hire & Sales will arrange the uplift of the goods. After inspection of the items and we are satisfied as to the alleged defects we will either replace the goods or arrange a refund of the full value of the goods and any carriage costs incurred.

It is advisable to inspect the goods prior to signing for delivery. If you can see any damage whatsoever to the packaging please sign for the goods as damaged. If this is not possible please ensure you sign for the goods unexamined to allow us to take any claims up with our delivery partners if necessary.

All tools on our online shop come with a manufacturer warranty. Most product pages will have a link to the warranty procedure for that manufacturer and we encourage you to follow the instructions on these pages. This is normally the fastest way of getting your warranty problem resolved.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event a fault develops within the warranty period but after the 14 day return period, if Broughton Plant Hire& Sales handles the warranty procedure on your behalf, a handling charge will apply and any customs charges or duty must be paid by the customer.


PLEASE NOTE - if you are returning power tool batteries see Royal Mail Form. If the item you are returning cannot be returned via Royal Mail please use a signed for courier or contact us and we can arrange to uplift the goods for you.

What is covered?

RIDGID tools are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and material.

How long does cover last?

This warranty lasts for the lifetime of the RIDGID tool excluding electrical and electronic components, which are covered for a period of one year from date of sale. Warranty coverage ends when the product becomes unusable for reasons other than defects in workmanship or material.

How to get this service?

To obtain the benefit of this warranty, deliver the complete product via prepaid transportation to any authorised RIDGID SERVICE CENTER. Pipe wrenches and other hand tools should be returned to the place of purchase.

What we will do to correct problems?

Warranted products will be repaired or replaced, at RIDGE TOOL’S option, and returned at no charge.

What is not included?

Failures due to misuse, abuse or normal wear and tear are not covered by this warranty. RIDGE TOOL shall not be responsible for any incidental or consequential damages.

How local law relates to the warranty

Some countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from country to country.

No other express warranty applies

This FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY is the sole and exclusive warranty for RIDGID products. No employee, agent, dealer, or other person is authorised to alter this warranty or make any other warranty on behalf of the RIDGE TOOL COMPANY.
