Today, we pause to remember and honour the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of all those who took part in the Allied invasion of Normandy on this day in 1944.
D-Day marked a pivotal turning point in World War II, the largest seaborne invasion in history and a defining moment in the fight for freedom.
We are forever grateful for the courage of those who served.
